Do you…
Join a Small Christian Community.
Improve your relationship with God and your friends and family.
By sharing, learning, mutual support, service, and prayer, the Small Christian Communities groups help their members fulfill their vocations to be true disciples of Jesus and help the parish to accomplish its mission as a believing community of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
Since the time of Jesus, who gathered a small band of twelve, small communities have been an important dimension of church life. In keeping with our mission of growing in holiness, offering hope, and extending hospitality to all, we offer Small Christian Communities to support your faith journey. We invite you to a time of prayer, reflection, and conversation within one of more than 20 Holy Rosary SCC groups.
Ask yourself, “How has God been active in my life and how have I responded over the years?” In a Small Christian Community you will see the Sunday Scripture readings come alive and relate to your life. You will develop a deeper relationship with God and share your faith with friends and family within a small group of 6-12 people.
By sharing your own story and the story of God and listening appreciatively to the stories of others, we help each other make connections between everyday life and faith. Through the Scripture readings and faith sharing, you begin to realize how God is always active in your life. Most groups meet weekly or biweekly in members’ homes.
Sharing—talking freely about God and life experiences and reflecting on these in the light of the Sunday Gospel in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance
Learning— having opportunities to inform your faith through Scripture, formal study, workshops and programs.
Mutual Support—building relationships of acceptance and friendship which encourage you to spiritual growth, deeper commitment, and more authentic holiness
Service— supporting your outreach and ministry beyond the group to those in need.
Prayer—expressing the awareness of God’s centrality in your life and opening yourself to God’s gracious action
